Belgium to parents: Vaccinate or go to jail

The intrusion of the state into the family continues unabated : As doctors struggle to eradicate polio worldwide, one of their biggest problems is persuading parents to vaccinate their children. In Belgium, authorities are resorting to an extreme measure: prison sentences. My brother, the (soon to be) Marine

So today my brother ships for Parris Island, there to become a United States Marine.

Despite obvious concerns for his safety, I am very proud of him, and I know that he will serve our country well.
